Jaeger-LeCoultre in Miami

In March, Jerôme Lambert, PDG of Jaeger-LeCoultre, presented in the Miami and Palm Beach area some of the new models of the Manufacture: the new Reversos Lady, Squadra and Gyrotourbillon. The Argentinian Adolfo Cambiaso, the best polo player in the world, JLC ambassador, was present in some of the events.

Swatch for all the Family

On the 22th of February, Nicolas G. Hayek, the creator of the Swatch concept, 20 years ago, presided over the launch of the new Spring/Summer collection, at an event in Kindercity (http://www.kindercity.ch/), Volketswil, Zurich. Watches for the mother, the father, and the kids. A special year for Swatch and Swatch Group: Mr. Hayek will be 80 soon.

Jack Heuer, Honorary President; Jean-Christophe Babin, President and CEO; Lewis Hamilton, ambassador of the brand, were present at the end of January at the inauguration of the TAG Heuer 360 Museum, a futuristic multimedia installation in La Chaux-de-Fonds. 300 historic pieces and a 360 degrees screen contribute to understand the rich TAG Heuer patrimony in sports timekeeping, since 1860. In a pre-Basel presentation, we made contact also with the new women watch models and the 2008 Carrera and Grand Carrera editions.

Piaget pre-SIHH in Iceland

Piaget presented some of its new models for 2008 in Reykjavik and surroundings. Inspired by two cities, Paris and New York, the watches and jewels presented by Philippe-Léopold Metzeger have a strong personality and a cosmopolitan touch. A Emperador Coussin perpetual calendar, a Altiplano 40mm and a new Polo Tourbillon Relatif Paris limited edition where the piéces de resistence, but tue collection includes also two Limelight Paris - New York models, with diamonds. The way back home was a little problematic, with a snow storm that closed the Keflavik airport for almost a day.

De Grisogono's 15th aniversary

Fawaz Gruosi and his team at De Grisogono celebrated in January the 15th anniversary of the house, presenting two new mechanical watches - the meccanico and the OtturatOre - but all the details are embargoed till Baselworld, in April.
